
Ashok Samuel, President and CEO: Bravura Technologies was founded in 2006 by Ashok Samuel, a serial entrepreneur. He has led Bravura with strong core values centered on "delighting customers" while building a team that shares a passion and drive that remains as strong today as it was 20 years ago. Under his leadership, Bravura has grown consistently by remaining nimble and discovering new markets through the constant expansion of products provided to our customers.
Before starting Bravura, Ashok was the founder, president, and CEO of Wishbone Systems, which provided a comprehensive Field Services Management system. The company achieved tremendous revenue growth through strategic corporate alliances and large-scale enterprise solutions. Wishbone was later acquired by Indus International (now ABB), a publicly traded company.
Prior to Wishbone Systems, Ashok served as the chief of software development at Applied Business Technology (ABT), the creators of Project Workbench, which sold over 150,000 licenses worldwide. ABT was acquired by Niku and subsequently by Computer Associates.
Ashok holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Baruch College, New York, and a Bachelor of Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
In 2004, he was honored as one of the "Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business" by The Asian American Association.
Ashok is also a philanthropist and serves as the Chairman of a private charitable foundation that supports and operates orphanages in developing nations.
Outside of work, you will find Ashok on a tennis court playing competitive matches. He is passionate about traveling, is always discovering new interests, and is happy to provide restaurant recommendations for any major city.
